A Certificate of Occupancy is a document issued by a competent authority confirming that a landowner has been granted lawful occupancy of a piece of land. It gives the holder exclusive rights over that land for a specified number of years (usually 99 years in Nigeria).

Anyone who has been officially allocated land within Redemption Camp and wishes to legally document and secure their ownership is encouraged to apply.

You will need:
  • Land Allocation Letter or Proof of Allocation
  • Survey Plan (from a registered surveyor)
  • Valid means of identification
  • Passport Photograph
  • Evidence of payment (as applicable)

The duration can vary depending on the completeness of your documentation and the review process. Once all documents are in order, issuance may take a few weeks.
